I've just bought a baikal, It's MP 654K, I like it really . But I feel it has limits : pull the mag so difficult, u can fire while bb empty, fps is not really strong .

Can I research upgrade problem to 654 better here ?

That`s their Makarov, right? Very nice air pistol you`ve got. Baikal makes good airguns.
The makarov`s not an airgun built to be powerful, but for close range plinking/target practice.
I don`t know how you could make it more powerful, other than to possibly find a way to increase the
amount of co2 released per shot. That would however mean you`d get less shots per cartridge.

How is the accuracy of your pistol, and is the trigger good?

tks for yr help

I've read this link http://www.co2airguns.net/collection/ba ... /index.htm (comments) .
"The BATFE stopped importation of the air pistol in 2001 because of concern it could be converted to use .22 cal rimfire ammunition (conversion kits were supposedly available over the Internet). "

Can you tell me how to "increase the amount of co2 released per shot" clearly ?

Tks alot

I`m not sure how it can be done, or if it can be done on this model..
I`ve read posts concerning the chinese QB79, wich is also co2 powered, where
people have tweaked it to shoot a bit faster..
How it`s actually done, i don`t know. Maybe some tampering with the valve or widening of the hole wich releases the co2..?
I only own spring airguns, so i have no knowledge about co2 guns really.

Good luck with your project anyway :)

You are not talking about the upgrade kits that turn this gun into a .22 calibre powderburner are you?

And it`s most likely not legal either.
Such projects only harm airgun communities.

Any communities. It is because of the availability of those kits that we can no longer have that BB gun for sale here unless you are lucky enough to find one used.

The 654K is what it is - if you want more power, look elsewhere.

There is a valve kit available to increase the power level on them.
