What would you all consider as the best scope in the $350 range for field target.

Will you be shooting Hunter or another division?

I assume you will continue in the hunter division and use a PCP, so that Hawke Eclipse 4-16 looks pretty good, with mil dots and illuminated for dark targets. If you wanted to spend the extra, the sidewinder in 4-16 would probably have better optics, but maybe someone who has both will know if it is worth the difference in price. The sidewinder may also be spring rated, which is something you probably do not need.

If you are staying in Hunter, I can't say enough good things about my Bushnell 3200 Tactical 5-15.
If you look around online they can be had for around $350.

Definitely a great scope with lots of folks who have tried it and have bought more of them for other rifles they own.

If the Bushnell Legend 5-15 is still available, that is an excellent scope for reasonable money. It has mildots for holdover, or a Tactical style elevation knob can be added for clicking. Surprisingly good optics for a scope in this price range. I have several of these scopes and they are very good value.

The Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15 Tactical, as already noted, is another excellent scope. I have several of these (mounted on springers), and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a scope of 15-16x magnification.

I have a couple of older Hawke scopes, and they are pretty good, but IMO, do not have the optical clarity of the Bushnell scopes noted above.

Save up another $50 and get an Elite 4200 6-24 mil dot or 8-32 duplex.
You can get one brand new off of eBay if you look and are patient.

After awhile, if you are only gonna stick with hunter, you can easily sell this scope for $350 and get a Bushnell Legend or Elite 3200 5-15.

I would stay away from Hawke.

Yes I plan to stay with Hunter and would like to find a scope with the side focus,it is much easier for me.I think I'll look around for a few days but that Legend on Snipers site looks like it might do the trick. If any of you see a good deal drop me a line thanks.Would anyone know if the BSA Tactical 6x24x44 would be a good choice.

Dan (SNIPER) should have some Bushnell Legends, he still shows them on his web site.
To add my 2 cents in, I do like the Legend a lot I like the fact that it is 6x16 and that it has Mildots.
I also like the Bushnell Trophy XLT 4x12, the scope is pretty clear, I just wish it came in a 6 Magnification and that it came with Mildots, good value for your money on both of those scopes.
