I have been watching the weather forecast over the past week and it had changed every time I looked. It has however settled into very discouraging news.

It rained all last night in Port and is still windy and raining. It is suppose to rain all night tonight, through the day tomorrow and into Sunday. Tarps would not help much since the wind is going to be around 40 kph.

So this match is cancelled. Notice cancelled, not postponed. The weekend before the Fudd match is the only open weekend at the club, so the Fudd will be the next match at Port on November 5th.

Sorry folks.

Yep... Bummer...

But I plan to have my own FT Match in the backyard with my kids! 10 to 25 yards with a few targets and the Gamo Moving Deer target! 1st prize will be a bag of "Hersey's Kisses" chocolates!

We still have the November match next month... Hope to see everyone then!

Take care,

NIGHTHAWK

Yep, I'm bummed all of a sudden too. I've got a message for Mother-Nature ... :butthead:

That Gammo moving target is great Tony, have a fun & safe shoot with your young'uns tomorrow. I helped jdoodz set his up for the maiden run at the Nat's. last year & got 10 shots at it with his '410.
FUN target + ACCURATE air rifle = :D
I think I'll have to shop around for one before the nephews get much older

See all Y'all at the FUDD ! Eh ?

Cheers. - PK

Very good thing that I cancelled this match. The weather is miserable here. Very windy and wet. Hardly anyone would want to take their gun out in this. The path at the club is probably saturated as well.

Hoping for a better day for the Fudd match.

Completely understandable... The Woodstock Woodshow barely has any vendors this year as well, it's less than a third of what it usually is. I imagine many of them pulled out, due to the weather. Especially the exotic lumber suppliers.
