Hi Pumpmaster
I've sent him PM's and he does not even reply to me

Maybe he doen't want to sell to me, since I'm a green horn.

I'll send him a cheque of $500 right now if he is able to send some targets my way

I'm not sure what is going on but I'm in some serious need of good quality targets.

I've been looking on the internet at some of the targets they have for sale in the States.

I've even found some targets that you can set up with the Gamo target face plate.

They sell for $9.50ea from Quality Targets

Thanks for all the tips guys

I'm not sure if I should wait or buy what-ever I can get now.

:axe:

Parker has been a little busy since his move. I will endeavour to contact D for you and make sure that he is aware that you are looking to purchase some targets. As I said I am in Surrey as well and own a few of his targets. Your more than welcome to check out the excellent quality of his products.

The Gamo Targets are super. Any who have been in the sport know they are the old faithful of the lot. Used at ALL level of competition. Unless the newest generation are lesser quality, they are trustworthy targets.

In fact, the type of steel they use on the face plate is stronger than all the others I have bought, and I have many targets from 7 different manufacturers. Although thin gauge on the face plate, it is super strong. Additionally, the paint process is much more rugged that all the others I have. It took me a LONG time to get through the black and to the metal with the bench grinder with wire wheel. Super tough paint. The only complaint I have heard is that over extended time and MUCH use, from 20fpe guns, and reduced kill zones (1/4 and 3/8 inch,) the paddle can start to get damaged. I have never seen this in person, and have been using mine in matches for years now and have not had to do ONE repair, not even to the paddle. One has to take care of how much material they add to the paddle as the added weight will effect the power needed to knock the paddle over. Generally 2fpe or less will take a Gamo down, yet at 10 yards 20fpe hit to the face plate will NOT cause it to false fall. Super reliable targets, and are the most reliable when it comes to certainty of it going over as it should. Simple design, yet it works. I know other companies have copied the design as well.

Hi Guys
I just ordered 9 of the face plates $40 for 3 including shipping within the States

They look like real strong targets for the Gamo.

Hope they work well, and take a little more abuse

I still like to buy some of Parkers targets.

Thanks guys for all the tips. Looks like I will be ok for targets for the next little while.

Hopefully Perkar comes back to me

See you guys at the range.

Appreciate all the tips, and advise you guys have been giving me!!

Biagio

I'm thinking of getting a set of the small targets from http://www.arimofieldtargets.com/ as well. Has anyone used them?

Dick Otten also sells faceplates for Gamo targets. These are 3/16" thick (0.1875) and are nicely painted. Dick's targets are top notch, after Dennis's they would be my next choice. These also accept the same reducers that Dennis uses.

http://fieldtargets.com/id18.htm

He sells 3 for $40 including shipping (in the US) I just installed one tonight and tested it - I can confirm that with the extra weight of this face plate, and a reducer, it'll fall with a 500fps hit from an JSB 8.4gn pellet. I'm very happy about this, I was a bit concerned it would take more power with the added weight.

Hi Guys
I found some targets at Rhino targets, they are very sturdy, I even found some thicker Gamo face plate replacements from Rhino Targets. These are made of thicker metal and should stand the abuse of Maurits' Magnum 64

I'm very glad I found some good targets

Thanks for all the tips guys

The Gamo targets are great, we use them all the time. With the Rhino faceplates, you now have a VERY sturdy target that'll accept the standard reducers, so the sky's the limit for options.
