Winnipeg. But the pricing is horrible. They used to stock one on the shelf.

Left Coast. Much better pricing, and good reputation for online sales/service.
There's other mailorder options here.

I'm not a "spring" gun guy, so can't help you with that. One of our other members oughta be along shortly to address those options.

Good to see another MB member! Good Luck!

Don't mind joe - he's a wildman!

I dont think so, not for the quality and price point. Less gun for less money, more gun for more money, less gun for same money, less gun for more money are all out there but I dont think you will find same gun for same money.

I have a Diana 34 panther with wooden stock in .22cal. If my house was on fire,,,that,s the gun I go for first. I recently put a new 12 power scope on her and on a calm day shot a 3/4' group of 5 shot,s at 69 yd,s, using 18.1 gr JSB,s. I fired it again the next day after it was left in the shed overnight at -12. I put the first three shot,s in the same ragged hole. I quit there so as not to jinx a good run. I believe the Diana with the wooden stock,s will become a collector,s item, as the manufacturer, move more to synthetic, to save cost,s.

Thanks for the advice guys. I am new to this site and looks like there is alot of good information and advice.

I currently have an older 177 pump action (not sure of the brand), as a kid I had a crosman (pump action) that shot both bb's and pellets...it was a great gun that last about 8 years. I just recently got the PAL so i would like to get an air gun. I have never shot an air gun faster that 500 fps. From the research I did over the last couple of days I like the Diana model 34 as i believe i can put a scope on it or use open sites....i am considering getting a crosman venom (gas type,i think Nitrogen),but i really don't know much about this 'newer marketed ' technology. Can you guys recommend any other guns compariable to the mod 34 just in case i cannot locate a 34 in Winnipeg.....chances are i will have to get in the mail from another province, but not looking forward to paying shipping. Thanks!!

A lot of times you may find that even with the shipping charges it can be cheaper to buy from an online dealer. Such as these two very reputable ones that handle what you are looking for. I like to know all my pricing and options when buying..

This is the nicest Diana 34. It's the anniversary model.
This real Diana is imported directly from Germany. The RWS is imported from U.S.
The Diana Warranty depot is in Toronto, Ontario. ..... The RWS Diana.... who knows ....may be US or store ... I guess.
The D34 Anniversary has beautiful stock with checkering and buttpad.
The TO 6 is metal trigger.

$ 435.00 + Ship.

The Diana 34 Anniversay is a beautiful gun ! I wonder if it's tuned at factory or just a stock off the assembley line Diana 34 with nice stock and metal trigger.

The D34 Anni has special engraving on it. It's different than the rest of the D34.
I'm not sure about the tuning part but it's not off their regular assembly line.
It's almost reminding me of my good old D36 but the D34 anni is much nicer.

The current Diana 34 (Not RWS, Not Refurb) $ 300.00 + ship.

The good old Diana brand new in the box from 1996 or so: $ 235.00 + ship.

Another mid-power air rifle you might want to consider is the Weihrauch HW50S, also available from D&L and SSSO.

The Diana 34 anniversary model is no different than the $100 plus dollar cheaper diana. They will both shoot well. If you want to pay more for a checkered stock, then that,s your choice. But for me I would buy the synthetic stock for rough use or the wood stock If you are one of those people who cringe at the thought of getting a scratch on it, and are not into bush hunting.
