So these Tempests are made in Turkey, right? Anyone here have experience with both English and Turkish Tempests, and willing to report on any differences?

I like the pistol, but why is the .22 so low in FPS? would this Webley be classified as a restricted firearm in Canada if it was shooting a .22 at 499 FPS?

I always thought if an airgun was shooting below 500 FPS it was classified as an uncontrolled firearm regardless of what caliber it was chambered for,but the replica airguns video Mike seems to indicate otherwise.

.22 at 499fps is totally legal to own and requires no licencing.

I think (and feel free to correct me guys if im wrong) its lower because they use the exact same inner parts for both .177 and the .22
and the weight/size difference causes the drop in speed

Yeah, I think that's right. People often have both .177" & .22" barrels for their Tempests, they're interchangeable. I don't think a 499fps .22" Tempest would be very good for hitting targets. The kick of a much stronger spring would turn the already rather wild recoil into something unmanageable.
