 Post subject: Homemade Reactive Target

I just finish my homemade fully folding bunny target prototype.
I can’t wait to try it out side with my 2289g.
I don’t think that the target is going to survive being shot at with pellets.
One thing I’m sure, I’ll keep my distance, at 6’ the nerf dart came back right at me!

You'll want to be at least 10m away. Putting a large steel washer around the hole will help with longevity of the faceplate.

Yup. I put a steel washer on my homemade-plywood target as well. Extends the life a lot!

At $20 per thousand, perhaps an indoor FT course could be developed using lighter targets like yours, with plastic or terracotta pellets that could be used in our regular airguns?

The possibilities are endless. I envision a course with targets set up on knick-knacks, wine glasses, and other breakables to punish a bad shot. Come to think of it, that could be done with regular pellets, too! :twisted:

In PG you could make ice pellets; the assassins choice! I tried casting rain bullets/pellets here in Vancouver, but they don't hold velocity past 2 cm......
