If it says Crosman 2400 on the tube it's a 2400 as far as the CFC is concerned.... and it should have a serial number on the tube as well....

If it has a 2400 tube it is a 2400 according to the law.

That is a really nice mod you have done on the 2240. Can you please share with us where you purchased the upgraded parts for e.g. all of the nice brass part add ons, what size length barrel, where you bought the grips and forearm and also what type os scope you have mounted. I know you mentioned the the tube you got on Ebay thank you.

Ok Chris this is what i done and where the parts come from
the barrel band and the end pc for the CO2 tube and the plug for the breech are from gmaccustomparts.com
the 3" muzzle break i got from a guy in Va. don`t have a web site from him
the hammer adjusyer and brass safety pin airgunsmith.com
the scope is a NcSate 4x30 sniper
grips & forearm rbgrips.net i finished this myself using tung oil and paste furniture wax
what you can`t see is a trigger adjuster from ebay and a BOSS valve from .airgunbna.com
I polished the hammer end of the CO2 tube and the hammer with a thin coat of molly slids real nice the valve i did somemore modding to to get a little more out of the gun than the way i came to me
and lastly i changed the barrel since i took the pic it had a 10" it now has a 14.5" barrel
Before ppl start about the power mods remember i`m from the states and can boost the FPS as high as i need

Wow that is a lot of work put into the gun and it paid off big time really nice! I really appreciated this information provided and want to say "thank you" for the time and links provided.

Cheers,

Chris

nope if it says 2400 its a 2400 just cause it has 2240 parts on it means nothing, in this case the tube is crosman 2400 so that's what it is now,
