you gota point in the US you can do what ever you want with an airgun, but in canada they have us but the nuts, and we have to watch very carefully what we do with a pellet gun. especially pistols

2240 is marked by crosman as a 2240 so if you put on a brass tube the same lenght in place of the stock one from crosman now its not a 2240 and now must by law be checked over and tested for its speeds and so on and then be marked as what ever you want to call it now and they have to pass it as being not a modified pistol but you now have a prototype gun cause its not a production model you buy off the shelf now, its really stuiped, i know iam still in process with a gun iam just doing some mods to my prototype uses some crosman parts in it, the other parts are all custom made

once you start messing with different barrel lengths and cals of barrels and still using say a 2240 tube yes is still technically a 2240 but its also not at the same time. however in canada we are allowed to make mods to our airguns to a degree with out having to go threw alot of hoops and BS over said mods.

its a bunch of garbage airguns are airguns but not in good old canada...

What kind of numbers (fps) do you get out of it, since your from the U.S. it doesn't matter if you post it here.

When i first did the power mods to the gun with the stock 7" barrel i was getting 560 fps .My daughter broke up with the guy who had the crony so i no longer have use of it :( . but with the 12' 7 14.5 " barrels i`m thinking it`s way over 600 fps closing in on 700 and i have a 24" i can put on when i put the stock on to make a long barrel carbine or rifle what ever you want to call it. the big power mod was a highly modded Co2 valve i get about 15 to 20 shots out of a cart. Hope this answers your question

Jim
