We had our last shoot on the 11th. It was 20 degrees on the 12th so I took advantage of the warm temperature and repainted all of my targets. I'm ready for the 2013 season!

No you're not, the TM1000 has not arrived yet! With about five months to the next outdoor shoot, do you think you'll have time to mount and zero the Falcon T50?

Ok..... stop rubbing it in I'll enroll in a couple of art classes this winter possibly pick up some white KZ paint. I thought the metal colored KZs were nice.

BJP "Queen of the pretty targets" was commenting after the last shoot that my my plain red birds and mustard coloured jakalopes were actually really easy to see hit locations on. I wouldn't worry about artistic targets - a quick spray painting after each match would be better than after each year.

I actually prefer the plain targets as specified by the WFTF. White with black killzone for freestyle, Yellow/black for kneelers and red/white for standers.

Hey! Nice targets. Who or where are they from? They almost look like a Gamo, but not really. Please tell me where you found these nice beauties? :)

The only targets we have here on the Wet Coast is gamo and a couple of Parker targets, and I have a few Rhino targets.

Thanks

Biagio

I designed them in CAD. I'm working on someone to laser cut the parts for me, to see if they would work. The idea is to make a full set for our club Biaggio. (And a few extra for me and by buddy Robbie in Calgary  )

That colour coding makes a lot of sense! I must have skipped over it when looking at the multitude of rules out there...

OK dhb, I get the message. No more fancy targets for me, just boring (but really high contrast so you can see it) targets from now on!
I like those colour combinations.

I just went through the WFTF 2012 rules and there's no mention of those colour requirements. Where is it written?

I think they may have removed it! I've been on an FT hiatus for 2 years, but it definitely used to be there, and in the SAFTA manual! Anyway when I last shot competitively those were the colours. I'll see if the South African guys can tell me.

My copy of the SAFTA manual has it. Don't know what the year is on the manual, but I like the idea of the color code. Also makes them easier to see in the shady spots. What does CAFTA think? Maybe an update to our rules?

I just read the 2012 SAFTA rules and there are no specified colours. The rules are clearer than aafta and cafta versions. Perhaps we should borrow from the SAFTA...
