Well guys I got a email today with new rules for 2013 FT rules.

OPEN is 20fpe Hunter is 20fpe and WFTF is 12fpe.
WFTF is still the same but Hunters and OPEN is now 20fpe is this a printing error or the real rules.

now if this is the real new rules it opens a few new doors for a few of us.

CAN someone help me with this and confim the rules.

The max for Hunter and Open have always been 20 ft/lb, but it was enforced by match directors so targets would not be damaged.

Now that we have CFO approved ranges with a stated maximum of 20 ft/lb, it has been formally put into the rules to prevent clubs from getting in trouble for using guns more powerful than the 20 ft/lb limit. Sorry if you were under the impression that Hunter and Open were regulated to 12 ft/lb; that has never been in the rules.

We did leave the limit open on these two division in case we decided to have a hunter match with higher power, such as a 30 ft/lb limit. That is no longer a possibility now that the CFO range template is made specifically for a 20 ft/lb maximum.

So although there are changes to the rules, that is not one of them. There is no error, the Open and Hunter Divisions continue to have a 20 ft/lb limit that is now specifically stated in the rules.

I would consider these rules revised as opposed to new, since the changes are quite few in number.
