First World Cup of the 2013 season was this week, and the video coverage - about 40 minutes including preamble and awards ceremonies - is up on the ISSF Youtube channel. Here's women's and men's 10 metre air pistol video links:

The video work keeps getting better with these top level matches. Wish I could say the same for the commentary, but Hillary's trying... Her guest for the men's match is rather persistent in trying to convey his mixed feelings about the new finals rules, which have everyone reduced to zero points for the final then eliminations start after the 8th shot is fired, finishing with the last two standing for gold or silver at shot 20. A radical departure from tradition with these new rules. And there's room for some comedy as officials jump up routinely, nudging departing finalists back to their pistols to insert their weedwackers 'for safety.' Hilarity at the highest level of the sport!

Oh, and looking at the qualification rounds I just noticed BC resident and national team member Lynda Kiejko's results. Her fine score of 375 didn't get her to the final - the 8 finalists each scored 382/400 or better - but it did put her in a respectable 26th place of the 40 women listed. Good going Lynda. Here's her targets:
