Ok so I've been shooting my HW77 (177) since they were first introduced. Looking to pick up a PCP model just to change it up a bit. Am looking at the XS-B51. Nice looking rifle, but need to know if the Hatsan pump will also charge it ? Would be crap to have a new rifle and no way to fill it. Or are the filling systems universal ?

Most people who buy the BAM PCP's take them apart for a deburr, reseal, relube and tune them, and with that they seem to be great shooting guns. Here is one of many threads discussing it, there are also very detailed instructions on how to work with these guns that can be found with a Google search.

The Hatsan pump should work just fine to fill the gun, provided you have the right attachment to connect your fill probe and you don't pump too long continuously, as it will melt/destroy the seals in the pump.

For the same price you can get a 80cu-ft 3000PSI scuba tank, which will give you roughly 8 fills, and cost you $7-10 to refill. You would also need a fill clamp to connect your gun to the scuba for filling, which is another $40-60, as well as a fill line or "whip" as some call them. After the initial purchase it is smooth sailing as any other PCP you may ever need to fill will be ready to go, you just need to swap the fill probe/adapter for each respective gun.

Just depends what makes more sense for you at the end of the day...

Thank you sir. There are no diving shops here in Medicine Hat so it looks like I get the pump for now. Replacing the seal's, are they just low quality O rings or specific seal's ? Maybe hard to find as I'm not in an Airgun Rich enviroment (Canadian Tire or Wall Mart take your pick ). Not a lot for part's on-line that I have found yet. But will continue looking.

Or may just stick with the old HW 77 as it has served me well all these years.
