I am about to be an owner of a QB 79 next week and was wondering where everyone gets their "hot rod" parts? I see Scopes and Ammo has factory replacement parts.

I do like the look of the AR 2079 stock.
I see Archer has a few parts too!

Looking for the web stores I missed or that you like doing business with!

THANKS!

x2

I don't want to hi-jack this but it is related,

Archers refuses to sell anything to Canadians that may make better performace, do I blame him, no.... but I have heard that even pal holders would not be accepted..

once you get your new toy, I would grab calipers and start brainstorming!!!! as far as stocks go, archers maybe, S&A sure (email him they are not listed on website), anyone else don't know... the place I got mine years ago doesn't have them anymore...

I know I can for make most parts if need be, Steve(barbas929) said the gun is already pretty well tweaked and such! I was just ogling the AR2078 or AR2079 stock! Looking more to make a 10m gun out of her for cheap!

Thanks guys! If you have specific threads to share that would be great too!

Cheap enough to buy & cut down one of these- Canadian supplier. Got one of these for my 78-D, after discovering the stock on my 20-78... Length of pull could use a tweak.

Regards,

Doc Sharptail

Agreed.

IIRC Rick, you are a big guy like myself with arms like an ape, so you will definitely want to extend your LOP.

I have no doubt you can do a more refined job than I did, but this is how I did mine, made out of some scrap pieces of aluminum I had layin' around (2 1/4" longer than stock).

Should have the AR2078 stock mid week, probably longer with the holiday, then ready to do some work on that trigger! Needs a Long set screw to get rid of all that pre-travel! Need to find some fittings to make an air setup like Todd has. Going to need another scope! Also meed to buy a 15mm reamer to make muzzle brakes!!!

The stock trigger should already have an adjustment screw for travel in the rear (shooter's side)
