Been tinkerin again, I carved a gripframe from aluminum that fits and works under the Crosmans. This one is still pretty rough with just small rod for temp. pins, but I did put it on a 2240 and it works well, it has a big thumb switch safety with a spring/ball that works very nice and I like this better than the push pin on the 22xx frames. If it cleans up ok I may put some walnut grip panels on and use it, but it was just to see if I could make one with my primitive tools. This one is thin though at 3/8 inch thick plate, any ideas/suggestions as to design/style tips would be appreciated.

looks good . most aluminum stuff i do i use a cheap belt sander to surface it to a shine . id think that would look fine as is , maybe just clean it up and paint it . and if it doesnt kill the rat from shooting it , you could punch it with the trigger gard :)haha

That'll look sweet Matt. :)

Screams "steam punk" to me...black base with dry brushed bronze paint (antiqued bronze look) and walnut would be fitting.

Going to look flat out cool IMO. 8)

Now that raises all sorts of possibilities!

How did you do the trigger group? Is the frame in two halves?

Great job! :supz:

That'll look kick-a$$ when done! Looking forward to the finished product.

Todd
