Can you shorten the piston any ? cut, reweld ?

That is a novel idea paddy!

Now its just a matter of figuring out how far the gas spring rod can go into the gas spring tube. If the gas spring isnt getting fully compressed in the trail, its possible the venom isnt either. Maybe shorten the piston even more.

Walter are you offering up the cutting and welding service? If so I got about 4 to send you with about a billion more on the way. :)
