I am curious how much better the Lothar Walther barrels are than the crosman barrels. I have swapped the barrel out on a 1377 and it didn't seem to make that much difference at 10 meters. I was thinking of swapping the barrel out on my 22 with a Lothar Walther barrel but are they worth the effort and cost? Perhaps some experimenting is in order.

probably more at hight HPA presure and high speed FPS ,
the diference of bigger and stronger barrel will help ,
just like big fluted barrel even on a small .22cal powder burner rifle,

target man

Fluted barrels are great, but need stress relieving after the machining! Sure is a great way to reduce weight and increase surface area for cooling and making the barrel more rigid! My Barret has a fluted Barrel and so does my AI .338 Lapua Magnum. I think it might look cool on these scrawny 7/16" crosman barrels!

I've never had to stress relieve a barrel after fluting and have never had any accuracy issues. Fluting a barrel is great for reducing weight, and the gain in surface area is somewhat offset by the loss of mass to absorb the heat, thus it heats up quicker. And in no way does fluting a barrel make it more rigid. The only way a fluted barrel is more rigid is if it weighs the same as an unfluted barrel which gives it a larger cross sectional area.
