Just bought a used Sig p226 x-five open from a member here and it was a good transaction. Now I want to take the compensator off because it accentuate the slope in the front and I don't like that at all. so I pull off the compensator but i'm stock with the threaded adaptor. i've tried to unscrew, pull and even a little heat but nothing happen. Theres no magic trick here this part as got to come out right?

I used an old sock and a pair of channel lock pliers, no heat.
Then I reattached the threaded portion to the compensator and now I can screw it on and off as desired.
I wonder if I can fit a faux silencer on it? One meant for an airsoft P226?
