Alright so i decided to shoot a 20 yards a Red Flight Penetrators from crosman to see how it impacted and a normal JSB diabolo jumbo pellet, as you can see the Red Flight Penetrators did not deform at all.... while the other pellet just flattened out normally. Although they dont have any accuracy in my qb78 the Red Flight Penetrators are really just good at going in something, only the jsb have good accuracy in my rifle.

On the right we see the Red Flight Penetrators and in the middle the JSB and the left a normal untouched 1$

Technically your defacing government property/legal tender, just FYI

The JSB pellets are very soft indeed, I believe this contributes to the accuracy they are capable of. I don't think I own a single that shoots anything better than one of the JSB pellet types, some guns like different weights or styles, but one variation of JSB seem to always be the most accurate.

I guess they call them Penetrators for a reason, Ive got a 100 pack of these to try out this weekend
Do you figure they'd make a good hunting pellet?

Daryl says that they work best on ground squirrels!! He has lots of field results.

Personally i dont really like them, yes they shoot hard but in my qb78 they are not really accurate enough for me, but maybe they are great in other guns

I misplaced mine so I could try them last weekend, but I've since found them :)

I was shooting Predator's, Rick, not those RedFlight thingies. The Predators are very accurate in many rifles, perhaps most? The Predators do have the VMAX-type red plastic tip, however are a hollow point, having a in the lead nose cavity surrounding the plastic tip. THEY are VERY good on field rats, even from a lowly .177 at only 890fps.

X2

Predators are excellent, personally I very rarely buy cheap "copy-cat" ammo (or anything for that matter) as they are, essentially, stealing others idea's and producing a cheaply made, "money grab" product 9 times out of 10...

I think I'm mixing the 2 up, the red pellet at the top of the thread is the crosman penetrator, JSB makes the predator which has the center pointed red polymer that sits in a hollow point

Yes, two very different pellets

I do have both pellets but I've only given the Penetrators a try so far
The Predators were fairly pricey $22 for a 200 pack in .22
I think I got the Penetrators for $11 for a 100 pack in .22
