I would like to mount a bipod on my qb78, although there is no rail on the stock and i dont want to drill a hole and put one on. Would my only option is to buy a barrel mount bipod?

If you really do not want to put a rail on
Then a barrel mount would be you best bet

IMO I would put in a sling stud and use that to attach a bi-pod

I plan to put a sling stud on my QB78D. I don't think it will ruin the look of the stock and will allow me to attach a sling to it too.

If you don't want to ruin your original stock just order a spare one from sniper Dan there not expensive and then you can do what ever you want to it and keep your original one to put the gun back to its original form.

Order the AR2078 stock from Eric for $69.95! Then you can cut and chop as you please! Not on the website, you just have to ask!
