During the first few rounds on a new cannister with a 1 yr old SA177 there was a puff of gas on a cycle and from that point on still fired but no blow back. When removing the cannister there was what looks like part of a green hard see thorugh plastic ring on the side of the cannister sticking to the pelgun oil residue and then I spotted a larger seemingly intact ring on the gorund at the firing line.
I have sent a note to PA (just over 1 yr so probably out of warranty!!) to see if they can help but thought I would ask all of you.
Here are the parts that I believe have failed and removed themselves.
Any ideas?
thanks in advance.

Hi plinkercases!

I have several blowback pistols of the same type than the SA 177 (which is different than the blowback pistols based on softair) but none of them broke yet.

You may find this link interesting, the guy didn't have exactly the same problem but it involves the same parts. You may try to contact him.

Also if you do a search for part list for a umarex sa177 on the internet, you will find some videos for stripping it down. I am not sure how good they are since I didn't watch them.

This guy had another type of problem but it seems that he was able to disassemble his, so you could ask him questions too.

Good luck.

thanks Pete,
i will ping the fellas mentioned and look at the strip down tutorials.
PA of course says it is not thier issue and aimed me at Umarex. I will call them later today.
luckily at least it still shoots but i think it is outgasing and so in fact less force is getting to the pellet.
i will let you know how it all goes.
luckily.....i have a few more to play with!
the fasted repair is a second gun!
