He is pretty good with maths but theres still something wrong with that formula.

1mph wind 90 degrees on at 50 yards will be almost immeasurable, so would 3mph to most people. 3mph (breeze) tops 1/2" drift even in my Anchutz which takes a lot more than most do.

I would go further than that same measurable wind speeds at different dates will give way different pellet drifts.
So will upping the velocity even 100ft/sec take 80mm of drift required at 55 yards down to virtually zero.
