I want to order a dovetail cutter to cut dovetails in Crosman type breech does any one know the angle i should order 45 or 60 degrees thanks

almost all ive had are 60* , but ive seen lots at 45 . what scope mounts do you have is the question

I just want to cut them like the Crosman steel breeches the ones in the breeches i have are too small for me to check with what i have here at home

60 degrees, have a dovetail cutter to making s few Crosman 22XX style breeches.

Youl get some sense out me Jim, 60 degree x 3/8" good for all shallow dovetails but not deep enough for proper cut dovetails which need the 1/2" but then too large to go internally.

you could use wood router bits . i have tones of cutters but ive also used the carbide router bits . really hi speed and the will do a great job . far better then the cheap Busybee stuff .

Have used HSS router bits for cutting steel and aluminum. Decent quality ones with light cuts.

Angle is wrong on them, but the rings don't seem to mind. :wink:
