So I was shooting and trying to set up my scope and the gun kept shooting very low and could not adjust the scope far enough to sight it in. Ended up checking the barrel and realized it was not parallel to the body, it was shooting down. Put a level on the body and the barrel and it was off just a bit. Carefully filed off the breach area and rechecked the alignment and ended up perfect. Now sights in easy.

A classic example of "barrel droop." What kind of rifle is it?

Was a Crosman Quest, however now upgraded and modded to a .22, nitro piston upgrade.

So now you have reduced the barrel lock up and going out of alignment.
You can put metal back on.
