It's really, really hard to believe mrhex has a hunting licence. What he does have is some ill-informed opinions on the wisdom of using a sub-500fps .177 gun to humanely kill a racoon. Let no one hunt who lives in such a fantasy world.

i added weight to my muzzle brake and filled the low compression piston with JB weld, moved the scope as far back as possible and turned the end (the part facing the eye with the writing on it) two turns and locked it in place with the ring.

end result, the MPI moved up a bit but the total distance on zero moved from 35meters to 50+ meters (my max shooting straight without getting trees in the way is 52 meters) a bit more 'uhmph' on the pellet shots, when using RWS super point 8.2gr

also called D&L and got another 10 clips so i can keep shooting without stopping to fill the clip. now with 11 clips i can shoot 55 pellets without needing to stop and reload.

so far very happy with it.

my next mod is to find a heavier muzzle brake with hopefully a 1inch OD so i can attach a flashlight to it. going after them coons in the dark is a pain and i don't like to take random shots, its either a head shot or nothing.

but as it is, its very effective on rabbits, starlings and pigeons, the furthest ive shot at a field game has been 10 meters and its a clean head shot with min suffering.

Shipping that tomorrow Allen!

Thinking I will make one myself. Been searching the interweb all day for a better set of sight for 853C I have. Don't want to spend more then $200 for the set!
