Well the 34 has been disassembled, cleaned out, de-bured, polished, and cleaned out again. And is now ready for the PG2 and pro seal. I thought I would have to wait until the end of November to order from Vortek, but as luck would have it, Airgun Source had the kit in stock. Should be here in a couple of days. The rifle was doing a pretty consistent 13.5fpe, and that was with the factory piston seal that had a nasty gash taken out of it from when the gun was originally assembled. So with the tube all smooth, and careful reassembly with the kit, she'll be a smooth shooter for sure.

Cool! Be sure to post your results when its all worked in! A question I have is after installing a tune kit, do they need a breaking in again?

Yup. The new spring will settle and the piston seal will conform to the compression tube.

PG2 kit is in the Diana! Shot cycle is as expected…butter smooth, and void of vibration, twang, or torque. After 50rnds chrony says 13.9fpe. I expect this number will creep as the parts wear in. Surprisingly, the Vortek spring has considerably less pre-load than the factory spring, which I am assuming explains the reduced recoil. And of course, three spring guides help too. The kit contains a new spring and seal, with a snug fitting top hat, and dual guide that goes inside the spring and also fits the outside of the spring, halting all vibration of the spring, and also reducing mechanical noise. I'm sold on these kits. Four HW's and a Diana now have PG2 kits installed and I couldn't be happier with the results. Of course, time will tell of performance, but on that note, my HW's after months of use and a number of pellets fired, either have been stable or even continue to creep up in power.
I'll update as the gun is used.

Cool! I'm planning on a PG2 for my HW97KT in the future. Since the 97 & 77 are the same (?) powerplant wise, how were your before & after results for FPE and shot cycle noise?

My 77k responded as well as the 34. What recoil there is is linear, and shot cycle is sweet. Power went up from factory to 15.5-16fpe from 14.5-15fpe. Not huge increases, but very consistent from shot to shot and super smooth.

Alright cool, very good to hear about smoothness and consistency. A boost in FPE is a bonus too.
