I was wondering if there is a higher power spring i can swap into my benjamin classic .22 i was hoping i could order a new one maybe a different rifle spring would fit? Also would it benefit by matching up a longer barrel to the classic and if so could someone tell me what would work? So i dont waste my money thanks guys!!

If you plug the bleed hole it will shoot from 650-700fps (stock) but then you need your pal. I plugged mine but then redrilled a smaller hole till was hitting 490's. :)

The spring is also cut, so plugging the hole will not get you near 700fps- closer to 625-ish. If you plug the hole properly (or use a full-power piston) and proper spring, you will get around 700fps.

There is no point to a longer barrel- the platform in .22 caliber using normal weight pellets will never get over 720fps no matter what you do- it is limited by its air volume and a longer barrel is not easily available (i.e. you'll be customizing something) for virtually no gain.

I have an older Benji Classic with the longer piston and with a short piston I'm getting 675 with RWS hollowpoints over my Chrony F1. With Crosman Premier HP I'm getting 675 to 680. The factory spring is quite beefy compared to the newer Phantoms/Benji Classics though. It's broken in with around 1000+ pellets through atm. At the beginning I was getting 655+/- fps with RWS hp so after your break-in period and pellet choice
who knows.

Hitting 700 fps with a b19 powerplant is not easy in .22 caliber and why have an airgun that's a vile beast to shoot.
