Well I finally got the new hawke scope out to the field, I must say I have never been so happy with my groups at 50 yards.

One thing I did notice was when I put the SF to 40 and started prepare for the shot when I noticed my target was not in focus, so I rotated the SF until the target was clear. Once I looked at the SF the indicator was point around 15, this issue continued threw all my ranges. So I played around with the SF and start to notice that I barely had to adjust the SF from 30 -50 yds definitely not as much as the numbered turret would suggest. So I'm a little confused, can I tune the SF turret? Is this SF set in meters instead of yards? Thanks guys and gals

Have you already checked to ensure that your ocular ring is set to zero mag...?

First and foremost pay no attention to what the scope marks state, even March stuff is way out yet alone cheapies.

When say 40, is that mag or range?
If range mark your own.

If using pa adjustable scope, it should be used as such not just left set some where defeating the object.
Should be focusing on every range shot to eliminate pa error, if you don't why bother having such a scope.

Thanks for the replies!

Yes I adjust the focus for each target/range and the 40 was yards as in range. I was thinking about taking some 1/4 masking tape and wrapping the focus turret and making my own marks for each particular range. Was just not sure if I had a defective product, but I can work with this issue.

I love how this scope is picky when it comes to eye position, it forces you to find the sweet spot which equals more consistant accuracy. Huge upgrade from my center point adventure scope, not that the CP was junk just not up to par with a hawke varmit.
