Thanks guys. Black Diamond Gunsmith in London Ont is willing to do the hot bluing. I just sent a picture for a quote. Yes the bluing on the TX is supreme. Hopefully all goes well. This gun is definitely worth it!

Good news for you...you dont have to throw the baby out with the bath water. And we all learned some stuff through the thread.

The companies don't have to know anything about guns, they just do their job you do yours.

Agree just a minor nick should have left it alone.
Assuming you will have done the preparation ok that will be better than original. The problem being whether blacker got his mix right.

The higher the polish the harder it is to rust. You can get a high depth mirror finish and leave original linishing marks in, I dare say that would bother if worried about such a miniscule nick.

Just a 1 min search in Canada.

Thanks but its different for me. I couldn't "just let it go". The nick was made in a situation that would/could never happen again. I am in touch with a gunsmith that will hot blue it for me. So a better finish than Weihrauchs and some education/experience learned sounds good to me.

I don't care if its for myself, as long as its mechanically sound that's good enough for me.

I usually have people follow me round with WD40 water dispersant/oil, mind most of rifle is alloy they take a dislike to the screws holding £2600 worth of scope on a £4k+ rifle.
Have been much worse, severe rust on underside of barrel to cylinder, powderised upon firing wondered why it wouldn't group.
Like a builder can do everyone elses work but not my own.
