looking for a suggestion on a CO2 BB pistol;

1- has to be repeater ie semi auto
2- can be double or single action, or both
3- blow back is not a must
4-more importantly, the trigger has be reasonable i have an MP 40 that satisfies all the requirements except the trigger
5-something that looks like the S&W mp 40, or crosman T4
6-maximum of 100 $ before taxes

quickreply

it is a good price, a bit under powered at 295 fps, i have no clue about the trigger though

i asking the question as my mp 40 has developed a leak in the hammer seal, mine has an advertised speed 480, would like something that shoots close to 450

marshman

i checked out S & A

a few in there caught my eye;

the crosman 1088, the crosman 1911, even the T4 any of those would do, wonder if anyone could offer their experience with the trigger on those models

Not a fan of the T4...plastic slide components and ackward spring setup. I prefer the 008 as it is dual ammo, compact and more accurate then the PPK. Should launch BBs just over 400. Cabelas should carry them. The PPK is really fun for spraying BBs around but have had blowback issues. Never tried the 1008 or the 1911.

thx for input guys

after looking at much reviews about a bunch of pistols, i opted for and ordered the S&W MP 45, it doesn't shoots as fast as i wanted, but for 50$ on sale, the price was right, and had most of the requirements i was looking for, plus the added feature of a pseudo single action that reduces the trigger pull by almost half, it shoots both BB and pellets, oh and the windage is adjustable on that one

truth be told, i took my MP 40 apart to do a trigger job, it worked as the trigger is now lighter, but when i tried it, discovered that the valve is leaking, don't think its anything i did to it, i was nowhere near it, did not touch that part at all, was just its time i suppose, i'm sure i can repair it if i can find or fabricate a seal :)

I have the S&W MP 45 since last April and the more i shoot it the more I like it. The trigger on mine in SA is just as good as you can get with a low price pistol, it as been reliable and pretty accurate with pellets, i have never tried with bb's. Fun little gun :)

BB's will trash the barrel! Use lead Gamo .177 rounds. Easy to load!!

i might be completely wrong on this, but if i'm not mistaken, the BB magazine of the MP 45 is magnetic, and so would the bolt probe of my M4, although i could probably use the clip on that one as a tunnel to make it to the chamber, so not a metallurgy expert here, but i don't think lead is ferrous, wonder if anyone tried those lead BB's in that pistol to see if they work
