Thank you..
Being shooting from about 12 years old..A hand me down .177 BSA springer, open sights.
Age 14 joined the cadets and at 15 years old, shooting 303, Old Lee-Enfield bolt-action, magazine-fed, donated by the "Out Going British Army", Jamaica W.I. 1965.
Now blaming, left ear mini-reduced hearing on the Lee-Enfield.
Shooting instructor in High School, was a Old Brit. Sargent at Arms, who became a Roman Catholic Jesuit priest.

Sounds familiar as a teen, except mine was the M1 garand in the US! I started at age 13, but found shooting an Anschutz rifle for three position more challenging!
