If you adjust the trigger far enough, the auto safety will no longer function. For a range gun, this is nice. I wouldn't recommend it for a hunting rifle though. In any case , no need to do any permanent type mod to get around the auto safety.

Hey Guys,
Just got my Hatsan AT44 -10WL last week. The Quattro trigger is considerably more refined than on my Hatsan 95's and 135. The springer's trigger needed polishing and new (lighter) springs to be really smooth. Before I dig in, what is the general consenses on the AT44 trigger?

Just a polish of sear contact points?

Any help would be appreciated?

Kirk

So, a question back- do you have experience tuning triggers? If so, then you can probably tell yourself. For my trigger I just needed a slight adjustment to the second stage and I was golden. Use the little sear window to tune the sear engagement and that's all I did. Hatsan quality is hit and miss so you may need more. It is a great trigger IMHO!

Removing the trigger is easy but putting it back in is tricky because the one pin also retains the hammer sear. I used a bamboo skewer as a temp pin, but others have different methods. I swore a lot the first time. After a few times I now only swear a little. I wouldn't take it out unless you need to... No sense in swearing for no reason.

Thanks cartwheel,
After I tweaked the trigger screws a little more I realized nothing else needed to be done
Hats off Hatsan on this version of the Quattro trigger :D

Myself I to only made a few adjustments to the adjusting screws, and it's a sweet trigger. Mine breaks between 2lbs-8oz to 2lbs-11oz not bad.......
