This afternoon I was bored so I decided to strip down one of my Tanfolio Witness 1911 for some general cleaning and lubrication.
It was a used one that I bought from a friend so I had no idea of its maintenance history.
It smelled like gun oil was used to lube it.
I used this video as a guide; http://youtu.be/wRdRTCPveUI

However it doesn't show the complete disassembly. I even disassembled the blowback piston and put a little airgun silicone oil in it.
Then I reassembled everything with a little moly lube.

Test firing after the work seemed to show a slight improvement in the blowback action.

I remember taking mine appart and having trouble putting it back together, I searched the web for 1911 disassembly and TADA, everything was back together and working fine.

You can’t buy a single airgun for everything. Golfers use many different clubs, airgunners need more than one gun

I took a cheap Daisy springer pistol apart to see if I could clean & lube it to improve the fps ( it was shooting 167 fps). But I can't seem to get it back together. Too many lose parts especially around the trigger mechanism.

Oh well, I've put all the parts in a box and I'll try again another time.
Maybe I can find a video on YouTube.

I found it interesting to dismantle the Tanfolio. Its the first time I dismantled a blow back pistol. Now I fully understand how the blowback operation functions and how the BB's are fed through.
