I'm a fruit farmer in S/E Ontario. Have a lot of problems with beavers chewing up my trees, but dont want to use my .22 cal firearm (noise problems).

I'd like to get a quality .25 cal PCP with at least 50 FPE energy.

Anybody know where I can get one in Canada? (All my previous air rifles were bought in USA.)

Also who stocks .25 cal pellets in Canada ?

50 FPE PCP is NOT quiet.... .22 Short LV or CB Cap is much quieter, and the Short is ~ 70 FPE plus delivers more on target....

If you need stealth, traps and slingshots (arrow based perhaps) are the way to go. Conibear traps have bonus fur implications in season.
A CB cap in a long 20+" barrel is quieter then a large bore airgun as Bob noted, but traps are all but silent as are crossbows and bows.

I just bought a .25 CAL Maraudar and it is about the same noise level as a .22 Cal PCP. It is not really quiet but is definitely quieter than a rimfire .22 IMHO>

You can get the gun and pellets at either Airgunsource (Ontario) or D & L (BC).

I think that answers the question you asked.

HI:The .25 CAL Marauder are on sale now in Canada and look like the US versions.Do they have the baffles removed from the barrel shroud to make them legal?

Baffles are removed as per Canuck Law.

HI:So my next most logical question is it legal to by a US MD and remove the baffles and declare it at the border complete with PAL? I am back and forth and have seen some amazing deals on these guns!!

No, the Canadian version is made so the baffles cannot be refitted....

If you are a legitimate farmer with a legal right to illuminate pests then the noise of a rimfire is easy to explain.
