Took my new toy to GTAC.. where sadly most guys are still shooting but I had to be home when the street lights come on....
But what fun while there.

Here are the best of the bunch with my new 99 shooting 50 feet with CPHP's courtesy of Helipilot (thanks Dave!). and thanks Marvin and Ace for the work over and tagging the nice one for me.

I am a happy cowboy.

3 groups; rested 12 shots, slow 5 shots off hand (honestly the flyer to the top left is from the other set and I believe I put 2 through the ragged 9 hole) and rapid 12 shots off hand. all with iron sights.

I can wait to get thing pointed at a bunch of tin cans or knock down/dingers etc.

Ace all the groups where fully cocked so to speak.
I found at half power it did hit all the way down 50 feet with outa noticeable drop but fully cocked it was straight as an arrow.

Murray thanks and if you mean the "rapid" mod ..all I did was cock and fire as fast as I can with the lever and also pulling the hammer back the second stage. Olde tyme western shoot out rapid not modern gang banger rapid where you just pull once and let the gun do all the work.
If you mean Aces work on the old best yes he does impressive work inside ( and outside) these things for sure.

Yes he has another 99 and cosmetically its probably in nicer shape but who ever had it previous to Mr Marvin must have forced the Co2 piercing nut with who knows what tool they used and cross threaded everything, i did replace the nut but its a little on the loose/wiggly side, it doesn't affect the performance of the 99 its just a little on the wiggly side when you tighten the CO2 down, could probably be fixed up with some JB weld i would think, but that will requires some dismantling.

"probably nicer shape!!???!??" whaaaa...... but seriously I would rather it shoot better than look better. What do they say.. a gun is a tool.
Loose but or not if you want one grab it!! great gun and almost putting the Walther aside a little for actual hitting versus looking.
Just love the feel and action of it.

Yes, that's what I meant on both counts.
