Like the title says , I'm looking for a magnum springer to add to my collection. Preferably used but will pay for new in a .25 cal. Right now have it narrowed down to hatsan 135 and the norica storm. Right now can't seem to find the hatsan in canada and really not much info on the norica. I'm open to suggestions . The sound of getting a 30 fpe springer has me all worked up. Please help.

Well I ended up finding a hatsan 135 in .22 instead of in the .25 . I bought it from is oshoot.ca . Should be here in the next week or so. I was tempted by the vortex ram but after a lot of reading seems the spring has more fpe and with a good tune shoots just as we'll. while I was shopping also got lube and spare piston seals from maccari. Now the wait.....

Hopefully the 135 doesn't have the same sort of quality issues other Hatsan springers typically have- or is that why you ordered a bunch of aftermarket parts?

I've read the hatsan'a have poorly fitted seals from factory . I only ordered replacement seals and lube from Jim. I do have an at44 in.25 and have not had any issues with it since new. The at has about 2000 pellets through it and still going strong. I don't plan on shooting the 135 as much just wanted to feel the kick from a true 30 fpe springer and no one I know has one. If the hatsan 135 doesn't hold up I might end up going the noirica route. Still wish there was more info out there for the norica it might have persuaded me to get one.

i think you'll like the 135. i have a 125 sniper vortex and i love it. i may have gotten lucky in the seal department. it shoots a consistent 947-953 fps with 14.3 grain CPH's in .22 cal. it's not totally broken in, yet, but, it still shoots 1/2" groups at 30 yards with open sights. that in itself is amazing considering that i wear glasses and can't see diddly with open sights. i'm waiting to break it in further, before i scope it.
a word of advice. forget the artillery hold. it just doesn't work with a springer that powerful. instead, pull the gun firmly to your shoulder with your trigger hand, and, use a medium grip on the forearm to keep the muzzle from bouncing left to right. i also found that placing your palm just behind the cocking slot seems to give the most stable hold for your off hand.

Thanks for the insight on shooting this thing. I have a qb57 with a phantom spring in it that I have to hold on tight to shoot . Not the same as far a power goes but the qb sure has a mean recoil , probably due to the spring directly under my nose.

The Hatsan PCP's all seem to have been built with much better QC- the springers have tended to be gritty and a bit sloppy- but as the 135 is a newer model- perhaps they have gotten QC in order. As you have seals on order as well- that may work out well.

Got the new rifle yesterday and immediately tore down for a lube and good thorough cleaning. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the lumber is. The inside was nowhere near as bad as some have had from hatsan. I did however have to deburr the cocking slot and clean up some rough edges on the safety latch. The only thing was bad was a missing shim on the safety , it was kind of loose and jiggled arround a bit. Overall very happy with my new toy and will run it over a chrony when I get a chance. As far as shooting , I put about 40 pellets through it and got 2" groups from about 15 m mostly from my poor technique and not knowing how to hold this beast of an air rifle . It kicks like a 410 shotgun . Can't wait to get it sighted in and see if I can improve on my 2" groups.

A true magnum springer at 950 average with 14.3gr. pellets. 28.7fpe - and .5" groups at 30 yards with IRON sights. WOW! Now, was that 1 to 2 inch, or actually 1/2" groups. Even 1 to 2" would be amazing for a high powered springer, I'd think.

LOL- only looked as it was a the top of today's list. I guess that happens when someone resurrects a thread from the Search function.

Got mine from oshoot.ca , bell outdoors is the Canadian supplier but shows to only have the .177 caliber model. David at oshoot get his guns from pyramid air in the US and they only show the QE model available which is illegal in Canada. The other option is the 125 with synthetic stock ,same power .
