this Ruger i bought second hand last year and would do shotgun patterns at 20 yards, no exaggeration

replaced the barrel twice to get one that was straight, replaced the receiver because of bad machining on the breech opening, spring broke so finished the end to have a spring that has 4 less coils, resurfaced the piston seal, the only thing that might make it better would be to re-crown the barrel, but i do not have enough experience to even attempt that

in its original full power the thing wrecked 3 scopes, wanted to sell the thing for parts....now i don't want to part with it

now its has no twang whatsoever, very easy cocking, and dare i say, the accuracy is not bad at 30 yards....not bad at all

cheers

Congratulations. It must give you great satisfaction to see it come together like that.

thanks penage, yes it does in a way, and in another it doesn't, that was a too much work for the results IMO, but i guess the important thing is that its shooting good now regardless :D

Daryl

i caught a pc virus a few months ago and lost all my data, but because i posted on here, i was able to get some of that back

with hobby pellets before mod, it shot an average of 885, after mod, it now shoots 779

with crosman destroyer EX, it shot an average of 948, after mod it shoots 779

with its favorite exacts, it now shoots an average of 764, if memory serves, its was shooting close to 860 with those

so depending on pellets, it lost about 100 +++ fps, i really don't mind the lost, cause IMO, it would give an off the shelf Airhawk a run for its money
