Does lighten the hammer on the regulated hatsan at44 would improved effiency.

I read a tread on GTA forum from Motorhead.
He got 55 shots at 875 fps with 18 gr. Jsbs. With a benjamin MROD equipped with a regulator.
By lighten the hammer considerably and thining the valve stem and adding a stronger hammer spring (#10).


The at44 hammer has alreadt little to trim but I have seen hammers with holes in them to light it a bit.

Maybe this is something to consider!

Virtually any PCP, when you add a regulator that reduces the pressure, needs to have the hammer strike reduced to control air usage.... Lightening the hammer is one method, the others are reducing the stroke, spring rate, or preload.... A lighter hammer will help, but it only reduces the momentum, not the energy, the other changes do both.... You may need to reduce the preload as well....

This qb78 hpa is my next winter project.
