To the people come up with Mods. Using your own stuff as a guinea pig takes balls. Then posting it in a clear easy to follow set of instructions with pictures...then taking the time to answer questions....what can I say.

I did the trigger mod to a Beeman P17...

Installed a Vortek Kit and tuned my Ruger Blackhawk...

Tuned my Hatsan Model 25 and shimmed the spring....just used the knowledge I had gained from the previous mods

Did the trigger mod, butt extension, and filled the cavity on the piston on my Daisy 953...

Thank You!!

Jim

Jim, wish I could say you're welcome but I don't know if you followed the DIY for the butt extension I posted yesterday.
However if that's the case a mere 'thank you' won't suffice. I want to see pics!
I see on your other post you're having difficulty with pic sizes. There should be plenty of apps you can d/l for free that lets you decrease the size of images (most of the ones I attach here are under 100kb but I use Photoshop to accomplish this). Files that come from a digital camera are often too large. Or do as Gippeto said and post them to some free service. I'm sure anyone out there with a 953 would benefit from an extension, that stock is truly short even for the averaged sized person.

It's been a while, and I sold the P17, but polished all the trigger contact points, and in the front of the trigger there is a set screw with a rounded nub that contacts the internal mechanism, to adjust your travel. I picked up a longer set screw at the hardware store, rounded off the end that screws into the trigger, installed it, and adjusted it for less travel.

At least, that's what I seem to recall. Does it seem logical that it would longer? It must have been, otherwise I could have just ground some off to make it shorter. I think the length and size of the setscrew along with pics was in the mod I found. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Good Luck

Jim
