Sorry, I'm a little hazy on the details... How does it work for new non-members?

Hi guys

This will be the second month in a row that I will be missing our monthly ft match. I'm not very happy about that.

I have to take a friend to the airport on Sunday at 1pm

Sorry guys, I wanted to chat about all the recent airgunning stuff that has been going on, with my shooting buddies. Not very happy.

See you guys next month, or during the month at the Archery range shooting in my rifles.

Good luck, and have a lot of fun on my behalf.

:x :x :x :x :( :( :( :( :( :(

Just wanted to say thanks to the group who made it out. It was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back!

Got a chance to shoot my new 2240 project, and it went great!

Also got to try out Wayne's AA S510 in .177 cal. All I can say is: Wow. That is the nicest airgun I've ever fired, and it was amazing to see the spot on that gopher target turn from orange to black exactly where the crosshairs were centered!

Also got to see some shooting with some VERY nice Dianas and a very interesting Brocock. I'll try and get some more time out for the next visit, so I can take you guys up on your offers to try some of the others.

If any of you are thinking of going, I highly recommend it. Also, I'll be driving in from south Vancouver, and happy to carpool.

So I was thinking:
Would a new shooter safety run through for 9:00 am. help speed things up
then 9:30 am.shooters meeting
10:00 am sighting
11:00 am target setup
shoot until 3:00 pm.
target pickup to follow
Something to this effect..feel free to modify ,looking for some more structure to get more shooting time fyi..kelly :tonqe:   :D

Hi Kelly
The only thing I would like to change, we can shoot until dusk, if you have pellets and targets, we can shoot until dusk. There is only one problem. We get a little tired after 3pm.

Sounds good to me ,I think were trying to get things standardised, so everyone has some idea how these shoots are organised..both members and guests with some sort of timeline, maybe when we have this finalised we can have a handout for everyone..fyi..kelly

I would also suggest including solid instructions for first timers. I almost ended up taking an orientation in the clubhouse, after being told in the clubhouse when I arrived that I would have to do so before shooting anything on site.

Just a simple "turn right after the caretaker's house (just past the stop sign), and park next to the archery range. Leave your guns in your car until you have gone through a safety rundown" would make it nice and clear.

Hopefully I can drag some more of the Vancouver members out for next time I'm out, which I would hope will be the next shoot!

Good call. Another thing I forgot was that Google Maps actually directs you further down the road, and not to the club entrance itself.

This could be useful:

Here's the link if you need it in the future:

You can always just copy the image off here onto your computer.

I just send out Google Map coordinates for our Port Club; it is easy and accurate.
