has anyone seen or bought those 1911 pistol grips off of e-bay. the price range is anywhere from 30 to 50 dollars. some are from the states and some from Thailand. thailands are free shipping. I just wondered how they are and if anybody has bought some and put them on there blackwater or any other 1911 style gun. I was going to try them for my blackwater. would like to see some pictures first though before I buy them if anyone has them on any of there 1911s. thanks.

I have one set from thailand on it's way, it must the package waiting at the post office, will get it later today. Original grip's for 1911 have to be modified a little to fit the oversized base of the gun to accomodate the CO2 cartridge, with a dreemel it should be easy...

Will post picture as soon as available...

I ordered from amazon.ca shipped from US and they were rubber Pearce or Hogue grips, cant recall just now and they arrived fin and fit fine with minor mods as mentioned due to the co2 protrusion.

I'm a big fan of Amazon.ca. Maybe it's time I placed another order with them for some decent grips.

did you have to hollow them out a bit so they fit. I watched a couple you tube videoes on how to do it so they fit over the co2 and the mag slides out .

First impression, comparing with original grip. The lenght is slightly shorter 1/16 approx., shorter on the bottom. Width and top are ok. No need to work the top left side where the lock spring is located. The holes on the right grip are slightly offset by an hair, they also feel like a bit to big, maybe just an impression. Would probably fit on a real 1911. I will do the modif for the CO2 first and then take a look at it.

But overall they look GREAT can't wait to see it on

is there any where that you can buy custom made fancy airgun grips for the 1911s or any other airgun. that are made to fit rather than buying real ones and having to hollow them out a bit on your own. I looke a lot but couldn't find any.

I once owned an HW45 and purchased a nice set of grips from grips4guns.com. Worth a look.
