The barrel band on my 2100 has cracked and split along the top side.

The gun is still usable, and I could replace the barrel band with an OEM replacement part, but my original band is plastic and I would guess the replacement will sooner or later crack again. Does anybody know if or where I can get a metal aftermarket piece for this gun?

If a kind member has access to milling equipment, I would be happy to send my band over for measurement and pay for your time and materials.

Send it to me and I am sure I can make you an aluminum one.
Got my machine shop all set up, finally after four months!

PM for address.

Thank you very much for stepping up, Rick!

However, I feel like a royal fool now. I proceeded to disassembly before contacting you, and discovered that the "barrel band" I described is just two halves of a moulded plastic piece, so the split along the top side is completely normal! It just didn't look quite right to me...

It is a total false alarm! Sorry for the inconvenience! It is a nice feeling though, to know that my gun is not broken... and that we have some great gentlemen on this forum!
