Hi all, I should have done this part prior to commenting on a post but it's to late now.
Quite by accident I found myself on YouTube watching a tabletop review of the Tanfoglio Witness 1911. I was enthralled by it as it was a pistol I had fired on the range in my Navy days, in the UK. It's a long and convoluted story how that gun was available to me on a Royal Navy Shooting range and I won't go into it now.
I started target shooting in the Sea Cadets in the late fifties, using Martini .22 LR. I had my own air pistol a Webley Senior which I loved and even if I say so myself "I was very good with it". I had to sell it in 1960 when I joined the Navy.
I ordered a Tanfoglio Witness from Forest City Surplus and received it last month. My first 6 shots with it were at 12 feet standing and amazingly I got 5 in a group you could cover with a dime and 1 flyer 1 1/2" high. Since then I have put about 300 shots through it and have not come anywhere close to my first target!.
Now I'm going to start polishing some of the parts and I've ordered some wood grips.
I would like to get a Webley mk6 next but it a bit pricey so perhaps something else but for sure I have the "bug"
Just want to say you guys seem to be very helpful with beginners and that's nice of you all.

Colin D.
