Does the above scope have a standard reticle calibration, I tried it using the data from chairgun.. works up to 24 yards , but past 35 yards chairgun says a certain holdover /under.. and it just doesn`t match up.

Switched to my Leapers with the greneric mildot set up and everything is great. and matches chairgun data.

Does the Bushy have a weird reticle.. or does the owner  not understand something that is obvious to everyone else.

IIRC, the Legend 5-15X is set up for the mil-dots to subtend at 12 X...

It will be marked on the zoom ring in red or green...

I have two of those scopes, and neither has a red or green distance on the zoom ring.... Mine are true MilDot at 15X....

Just to be clear: it is not a distance off of the objective, but a magnification mark on the zoom ring...

Rsterne, I gave the 15X magnification a try, only at 16 yards but it seems to work.. thanks..

Update on reticle , Well I shot out to 47 yards today with my Pro Sport, Bob (rsterne) was right on the button, using 15X power on the scope allows it match the 10X power data on Chairgun numbers.
Thanks , Bob,

No idea.... Most MilDot reticles are correct at 10X, the Bushnell is the exception.... Some variables that are under 10X at the highest magnification are MilDot at the highest the scope achieves.... eg. a 3-9X MAY be true MilDot at 9X instead of 10X.... Basically you have to check out your own scope.... A piece of graph paper at a known distance and a calculator and you'll have your answer....

Ranging indicator in RED on a Bushnell Banner 6-24X 42mm A/O mil dot.

Most of my Bushnells show some indication on the zoom ring where the reticle subtends properly at 100 yds...

I have a Legend to dig out and check- this one a 4-12X, and not the 5-15X. I traded mine off...

I've got a lot of scopes to get organized, come to think of it

Regards,

Doc Sharptail
