I modded the action to accept a Crosman 2250 tube and modified valve, the valve at the very rear of tube and a shortened valve pin. It works great so far, and is much more fun to shoot, but needs a clip off the hammer spring or two, i'll put up some more pics once i get it cleaned up better, and Brent I'm sorry if you see this.

Ace, some may not approve of what I did to this gun,(cough Brent) but basically, the action is stock other than being bored to fit the 22xx tube rather than the original pump tube, the valve is as the pumper valve was at the rearmost part with only a small bit of the pin sticking out. I cut the rear of the 2240 valvepin to match what was exposed on the pumper valve. the crosman tube had been modded for a poly port, so I used a small bit of poly pressed into the enlarged exhaust port hole in the tube but sitting on top the valve exit port to seal to the transfer hole in the action when the screws on the underside tightened up on the tube. I put a very thin small dia O ring behind the barrel to mag block for extra seal. I had to use a couple small washers to shim the gripframe because the spring buttons that allowed the wirestock to collapse were slightly jamming on the larger dia tube. Still need another barrel band I think, original was bored out for the crosman tube, maybe a longer tube...I had only some crosman 7.3 grn points to test which this guns mag doesnt really like, but the higher shots were at 688, I will be dropping a coil or two off the hammer spring to castrate it slightly and get better shot count for target shooting, this gun is very accurate but the pumping took away some of the fun, and the younger ones who use it occasionally had trouble with the pumping, I suppose knowing the crosman tube can be grafted, that it could also be bulk fill or HPA. It's now a new to me gun once again! I'll be back in a week once I pick another username...

cheers-Matt

lol.....
thanks for the info Matt....I've been debating doing something similar to mine for some time now but have been on the fence about it and now your post happened to pop up 8)
I don't mind the pumping but this would definitely make the mag use on it a lot more fun, rather then pump then advance the mag then pump and so on......you know what I'm talking about.... with this setup you just need to advance the mag 8)
hopefully you can settle it down some and then give us some shot count numbers, hey how about running a longer tube and using two Co2 cart in it 8) 8) :D
