Hi, been airgunning since mid 80's, left for a while and got back into it about 7 years ago as a method of controlling vermin population around my rural property. My nemisis are Starlings, with Common Grackle, and (most hated) Grey Squirrel! I generally powder burn (shotgun bird hunter) but I still love my springers!

I have been a creeper for years and attended a shoot/show in Waterdown about 4-5 years ago with my Dad which resulted in him purchasing an Air Arms PCP (can't remember exact model) from a vendor. He has shot air rifles for years over in N.Ireland before we came here and has his BSA Air Sporter still.

I get regular emails from Tim McSweyn and keep pushing my Dad to attend matches (he recently retired) and apparently my buddy Tinner is the Grand Prize winner of a sweet HW in a recent raffle!

Welcome to the Forum. I also live on a rural property and sympathize with you. On top of the vermin you mentioned, there is also Skunk and Racoon here that are a real nuisance as well.
I have a soft spot for squirrels though, because , if they didn't get into my attic, I wouldn't be hooked on air gun,s.
Hey What am I saying ? Why those little &*$#&%

Thanks for the welcome Gentlemen, I got to see the winning raffle prize tonight at Tinner's, nice little gun although I'm on the other German side with Diana!

Joe, the only soft spot I have for tree rat is just behind the ears! I got my first Starling of the season this morning, about 10 m shot SPLAT!!!

I think I have eradicated the squirrel population in my area. I haven't seen one in months. But I'm confident they'll be back.
