I was cruising Amazon Canada the other day and came across the Swiss Arms 1911 for $103.99 with free shipping (it is sold by and shipped from Amazon.ca). The cheapest price I have found for this model from Canadian dealers is $129.99 +shipping. It works out to be pretty significant savings. Just thought I would throw this out for anyone looking for this model.

Cheers.

I ordered one on Sunday night!

Guess what, it is still preparing to ship.

Normally, all my orders are received in about 2, 3 days.

This time, I am not too impress with them.

I have an expected delivery of June 22.if it is not send early tomorrow, I don't know how they will make it.

Maybe next time I will stick to order dvd from Amazon and airgun from regular store even if it is not the bottom price. at least it will be quicker and it might save on frustration.

Just curious...

When you're saving $25 on the product cost and at least $15-$20 on the shipping, how long can can it take 'til it's not worth your while?

Nothing else to shoot in the meantime?

Was thinking the same thing. Saving $40 is worth a few days for sure. Hell, a few extra days builds that new purchase excitement!

Amazon ships some items from their warehouses or sometimes from the manufacturer's warehouse. I've purchased MRS sights from Amazon.ca that were shipped from China or the USA.
Yes they weren't shipped quickly but eventually arrived.

My point was only that my experience so far, with Amazon, had been satisfying.

I am normally cautious and I am aware that sometime the delivery of certain items might take between 3 to 5 weeks. If I go ahead with this type of order, I am willing to wait.

What I ordered was stated as being "IN STOCK" and "SHIPPED AND SOLD BY AMAZON". In this condition, between 24 to 48 hours to prepare for shipping would be acceptable and I would have received it by today. This morning the status is still "PREPARING FOR SHIPPING". It is the 5th "working" day and it is not even on its way.

I ordered it last weekend for this weekend to give as a gift. From my past experience, I couldn't expect that it wouldn't be there on time and it is part of the frustration.

That's it, the rant is done.
