Just curious as I have recently been into a qb doing some mods. Just for fun. Oh and using no aftermarket parts as well.

A fellow on the Chinese forum (classicalgas) was claiming 830fps with a bulked 78...don't know at what temperature.

Can search there for details I'm sure.

Yeah, that's ralphie isn't it? You'll shoot your eye out!

Well as for the 78 i managed 805fps at room temp, was suprised to say the least. No clue what it might do in this summer heat tho...

Completely temperature dependant.... Crank it up to 120*F (max. safe temp. listed for CO2 tanks) and you're dealing with 1800 psi (what the bulk tanks are rated for).... Not so sure I'd want to do that to a stock QB though....

Yeah I have no intention of doing that. I might try it out at 90*f, just to see. The only other part I would like to try is a delrin valve seal. Buddy on the Chinese forum claims 50 fps with the wire probe over the hollow probe. I doubt that, but I guess you never know. Mods I have done to the valve are very similar to classicalgas's build. Except I cut 3 threads off the front of the valve body. Just enough left to compress the oring. And of course porting. Matched everything to the existing exhaust port on the valve, including the bolt. I Donno, seemed pretty mundane and straight foreward to me.
