Hi all.

My son ( 13 yrs old )is becoming more and more interested if firearms ( I have a PAL/RPAL) and belong to a local shooting range.

This range has air gun shooing every Sunday morning and I'm thinking it is a great way to introduce him to the world of firearms. Ive been doing some reasearch on a pair of decent rifles for us. Gotta say. I had no idea there where so many kinds....lol

I don't know the advantages of one over the other and even what some mean....haha

I do know I'm not interested in any that take Co2.

Well, that's me in a nutshell. Now off to do some reading.

Welcome Oneguy (and son).
There lots of us near you who will undoubtedly connect with you and even already shoot at the same range... I can hear Mike87gt coming now......
As for what to buy as always we ask for as many criteria as you can give... then there will be some good suggestions coming forth for sure.
-size of shooter
-budget
-calibre
-use - target work or plinking
-do you prefer wood or synthetic
-break barrel or pneumatic?
-will you scope it?

Now that you are introduced to us perhaps start a "what to buy my son?" thread with the above details

Thanks.

I'll start a new thread when I get home.

Looking forward to getting good advice from people who know a thing or two.
