Rediscovered my love for air guns over the summer and have been lurking on the forum for a while so decided to finally register.

Grew up in small town Saskatchewan shooting gophers with a Crossman 760. Parents let me have a basement range so I shot thousands of pellets and eventually shot the seals out of the gun. Mowed a lot of lawns and bought an Anschutz 1450 .22LR. Shot more gophers. Moved to the city and stopped shooting.

Fast forward 25 years. I decided to see if I still liked shooting as much. Turns out I do. Put several thousand pellets through an HW45 over the summer and bought a low-powered TX200 -- my easy access shooting maxes out at 25m so no need for a bigger gun -- that gets 40 pellets through it a day. As a consummate tinkerer I've tuned both with TnT tuning kits and can see how that too could be addicting. Probably going to put the HW45 on the block to help fund a 10m target pistol to entertain myself for the winter (I've gone down the N+1 route on several hobbies and can't afford another --- although if someone had a field target range around Saskatoon I could justify a 12fpe gun ...)

Anyways, thanks for all the great info on the forum.

Thanks for a good intro and welcome. And I am sure we can help justify a 12fpe gun....

Great intro! Thanks; we appreciate it.

Check this thread (and other related threads) out.

It's a recently released polish target pistol that many members have their eyes on. Rick (rrdstarr) may have possession of his already. There are importation issues, but for <$150 CAD., it's certainly worth a look as a first target gun purchase. He's an active, supportive member, and I'm sure he'd be happy to tell you what he can.

Enjoy your stay.

Murray
P.S. Active members usually use their first name freely. Plinkercases, above, is also a Murray, but he was waiting for me to say it so as not to confuse you.
